An artist once said, the child who loves acting is filled with love! In the campus of SUIS, you may meet such a boy who loves performing, is good at walking shows and loves reading. He is sunny, simple and funny, his small body often contains big energy, and he is the student from class P3D – Jasper Hu.

Performance: Experience different lives

Learning acting can not only improve language charm and literary comprehension, but also develop the mind and enhance self-confidence. “Learning in filming, growing in learning, and transforming in growing”.

Jasper, lively and lovely, is always loved by people around him. His pure and bright smile is contagious. He looks cute, but he is already an experienced young actor. After just a few years of acting, he has participated in the shooting of many film and television works, such as No Way to Live, Growing up with No Worries, Lost in Russia, Yip Man 4, Fearless Whispers and Shao nian pai, as well as the advertising shooting of Qiaohu Series, Music Enlightenment Course, SMARTREE, Nike, Lego and Geely. He left a deep impression on audience and was awarded the Oscar Child Star Award and the Future Star Award in the Children’s Film Festival.

He and his classmates traveled through time and space in the short film “When Jiangxi Meets Tang Poetry”, which was shot in the fourth Han Culture Week, and left behind a lot of memories. The plots of film and television plays let him feel the joys and sorrows of the world, and the long processes of filming and the difficult conditions let him learn to endure hardship and know gratitude. These valuable acting experiences gave him a social skill and filled him with love.

Music: Knock out the shock in the heart

“Dong cha, dong cha…” This is Jasper’s drumming melody.“One minute on the stage, ten years of work off the stage”. On the stage, the drumsticks fly up and down, and people envy. But it’s not so cool off stage. The drumsticks in the hands do not obey, either drop or cannot hit the point. Soreness of waist and backache are also common. But after repeated practice, when the sound becomes better and better, all the efforts are worth it. Sadness with happiness, sweat with success, and it feels good! Playing drum not only enriches the after-school life, but also knocks out the shock in the heart!

Walk show: An expression of fashion and confidence

As long as there is a stage, there is his confident pace.Jasper also performs well on the walk show stage. In 2019, he has obtained the CIP professional certificate for international children model, and has won multiple awards in various model competitions. In his spare time, he served as the special guest child model in the new product release conference of some brands, such as Paul Frank, GoodBaby, HLA, La Chapelle and Mariasha. He has been invited to participate in China International Fashion Week, Shanghai Fashion Week, Hangzhou Fashion Week and other fashion weeks, and has also become the spokesperson of SPOENSHA for Korea Fashion Week. On the stage, gorgeous clothes, handsome figure, firm eyes, and confident pace show personality and fashion, just like a small supermodel!

Children who love reading may not write well. But children who love reading must be soft, delicate and sensitive in heart.Jasper, who loves the stage, also likes quiet reading and often loses track of time when he reads. His small mind is always full of brilliant ideas, and he responds quickly to the problems in the activities of the theme garden party of the SUIS carnival. He reads Les Miserables as well as a Dream in red Mansions, reads Sherlock Holmes as well as Plants vs. Zombies, reads World History as well as Chinese History, and reads Mathematical World as well as the Mysterious World of Quantum. “Reading history makes one wise, reading poetry makes one clever, mathematics makes one fine, and physics makes one deep.” He strolls in the sea of books, uses words to cure his negative emotions and face up to his vulnerability, and enriches himself and cultivates his temperament with knowledge.

Learning: Where dreams begin

Jasper, who has a wide range of hobbies, has been trying to balance in-class study and extracurricular activities, and never relaxes about his studies. He is very interested in math, science and inquiry courses, and actively participates in the school’s math elective, constantly challenging himself. He won the title of “Little master for learning” for two consecutive years at the end of semesters, and was also named as “Little master for cloud classroom” and “Little expert for housework”. He participated in the school calligraphy team, and under the guidance of Ms. Gu, won the second prize for the lower grade group of primary school in the 25th national primary and secondary school calligraphy and painting competition.

SUIS WY in my eyes

Our school in my eyes is my another “home”. The environment here is ancient- -styled, with pavilions outside the classrooms and carp swimming in the pool. The beautiful teaching building and Hui-styled ancient houses complement each other, just like being in a picturesque park, which makes me relaxed and happy.

I have spent two happy and fruitful years in SUIS. In classes, I learned a lot of knowledge; in activities, I gained confidence and happiness; in campus life, I felt a lot of warmth and care.

I like the learning atmosphere in SUIS very much. I remember that when I was in the first grade, I came to our school with ignorant and happy mood, and tried to adapt to the learning environment of Chinese and Western integration here. On my first day in SUIS, the foreign teacher in my class said to me, “Hello! What’s your name?” I was stunned for a moment before I timidly replied, “I…I am Jasper.” For a period of time after that, I was also in an “awkward” state. Because my English listening and speaking skills were not good at that time, and I often could not timely respond to what the foreign teacher said to me. My homeroom teacher Miss Chen is also my English teacher, and she inspired me to learn from my classmates who have the ability to understand by analogy. She told me to find my own way of study. Under the encouragement, inspiration and guidance of Miss Chen, in a good foreign language learning environment, and with the patient help of my foreign teacher Mr. Jared, after a semester of efforts, my English level has been greatly improved. Now I can understand the meaning of the teachers, and also can communicate smoothly.

I also like the teachers and students in SUIS. The English teacher Miss Chen is gentle, and can speak standard and fluent English, the Chinese teacher Ms. Wang is serious but humorous, the math teacher Ms. Mou is free and easy but thoughtful, the art teacher Ms. Wang is gentle and considerate, the music teacher Ms. Zhang is kind and beautiful, and the PE teacher Mr. Cheng is vigorous and resolute. They start my daily learning journey in SUIS. Besides, the lovely and friendly friends in P3D class accompany me to grow and change every day.

I prefer the colorful campus activities of SUIS. In our school, every student has the chance to go on stage. You can sing, dance, play the lute or play the drum on the stage if you want to. In order to respect our individual development, the school has set up many school teams according to our interests and hobbies. I am also lucky to be a member of the hip-hop team and calligraphy team. In order to broaden our horizons, the school also organizes various activities regularly. The annual carnival takes us to the five continents to explore the wonders of nature. There are also crazy hair day, pajama festival, Han culture festival and other forms of thematic cultural activities, which leave a different mark for our growth process. The morning concert, Wanyuan Voice, art exhibition and all kinds of wonderful disciplinary exploration activities not only expand our knowledge, but also give full play to our strengths. The activities make me happy and enriched.

In my eyes, you are a simple and lovely boy. In school, you always smile happily, cute appearance let many classmates are willing to play with you together. What is not known to the students is that you are still a “little star” outside the school. You have participated in many films and television shooting, and have been a little model.
