Serve the country with an honest heart- WUIS Primary school National Day ceremony
This cool autumn, rolling mountains with beautiful rays and the floating fragrance of Osmanthus under the bright moon stirs deep feelings.
Today, the school’s Chinese traditional culture week reaches its crescendo. The theme “Serve the country with an honest heart” highlights our National Day ceremony. Students from grade 1 to grade 6 of WUIS Primary School gathered together to explore the devotion of great people through the ages. The charming appearances of the fifth grade girls’ showed us the heroic Chinese style. As the old saying goes, “Women are as excellent as their male peers.”
The P4A teenagers were full of vigor, reciting the classic “Young China said” by Qichao Liang, a modern patriotic thinker, with sonorous rhyme and words enlightening the patriotic feelings of young people.
P4Bstudents chanted “I Love You, China” to show us their love for our motherland.
With five thousand years of history, our motherland is a poem, a painting, a landscape. The representatives are the silk and bamboo orchestra, also the ink, paper and ink stones. What do you think of your motherland? P4C students brought their answer — Poetry recitation –“Capital China”.
Family is the smallest country, and the country is made up of tens of millions of families, small families and big country, we are all interdependent. P4D students told us of their deep feelings for their “Family and Country” and the mission they share.
During the intermission game, we learned the fun and charm of Chinese characters with Teacher Emmy Xu.。
In ancient times, the steady development of a country was inseparable from the collective efforts of civil servants, officials and military officers. There are two such outstanding people in our history. They were the colsest and wisest advisors of the king. Although they had conflicts, they both turned hostilities into friendship because they were patriotic. As I’m sure you’ve guessed, these two are Lian Po and Lin Xiangru. P5A and P5C performed a classic historical story called “General Harmony” to illustrate this for us.
Holding a roll of bamboo slips, and carrying the authoritative knowledge from more than two thousand years ago; he founded a school of thought and created a new educational concept, which influenced the development of the Chinese nation and even the world. The gate of time opens, and we follow the P5B and p5D students to visit the familiar but strange master — Confucius.
Following in the footsteps of the ancients, we have entered the modern age. With the rapid development of modern civilization, the simplicity and kindness of the people are influenced, while the gentleness and positivity of the Chinese people remain unchanged. At the end of 2019, the sudden outbreak of the Covid-pandemic affected our families and our state’s affairs. P6A and P6B brought us the stage play “Patriotism”, representing the dazzling spiritual flowers which blossomed from individuals and positively affected the big environment.
The smoke of the battlefield does not suddenly changed into green fields. Look, there’s an old man dozing. The students of P6C and p6D have gently caught the panicle of rice for us and took us on a journey to experience the dream with them.
Our wish is for the motherland to go from strength to strength and we wish you all great health, and a safe and rewarding holiday.
Have a happy and patriotic National Day!
