To further promote the construction of artificial intelligence (AI) education system in primary and middle schools and explore the practical path for cultivating students’ computational thinking and human-machine collaboration capabilities, the Expert Consultation Meeting on “From Computational Thinking to Human-Machine Collaboration: Construction and Practical Application of Artificial Intelligence Education Framework in Primary and Middle Schools” was successfully held at our school on the afternoon of April 14^th, 2026.

The meeting brought together experts from universities, representatives from education authorities, teaching and research institutions, and multiple experimental pilot schools, who jointly provided professional guidance and suggestions for the framework construction and practical application of AI education in primary and middle schools.

The meeting has the honor to have invited authoritative experts from East China Normal University, Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Teacher Education, relevant leaders from Minhang District Institute of Education, as well as representatives from multiple experimental pilot primary and middle schools in Minhang District. Our Principal Mr. Paul Quan attended the meeting as the representative of the host school.

The meeting was chaired by Zeng Qingbiao, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch of Minhang District Institute of Education, with a compact schedule and substantial content:

Project Report: Members of the project team made a detailed report on the research background, core framework, and practical planning of the project “From Computational Thinking to Human-Machine Collaboration: Construction and Practical Application of Artificial Intelligence Education Framework in Primary and Middle Schools”, systematically elaborating on the iteration of educational concepts and the design of practical paths from computational thinking to human-machine collaboration.

Expert Guidance: Combining their own research and practical experience, the participating experts put forward targeted guidance on the scientificity and feasibility of the project framework, providing professional support for the deepening and improvement of the project.

Exchange and Discussion: Representatives of each experimental pilot school conducted in-depth exchanges on the practical exploration, difficulties and pain points, and innovative experience of AI education in front-line teaching, providing vivid front-line cases for the practical application of the project.

Closing Remarks: The meeting systematically sorted out the results of this expert consultation, clarified the direction for subsequent project research and practice promotion, and drew a clear blueprint for the high-quality development of AI education in primary and Middle schools in the region.

As the host of this meeting, SUIS Wanyuan campus has always been deeply engaged in the field of AI education, committed to deeply integrating cutting-edge technology with basic education and cultivating students’ innovative thinking and digital literacy. The successful holding of this expert consultation meeting not only provided valuable expert guidance and inter-school exchange opportunities for the development of AI education in our school, but also built a tripartite AI education discussion platform linking universities, regions and schools, injecting new impetus into the systematic construction of AI education in primary and Middle schools in Minhang District and even Shanghai.
