[Wuxi] 【Secondary】All qualifying for the Shanghai Global Round

The 2026 World Scholar’s Cup Suzhou-Changshu Regional Round has successfully concluded. Twenty-one Grade 7 and 8 students from Wuxi United International School (WUIS) formed 7 teams, with all qualifying for the Shanghai Global Round and delivering an outstanding performance through their strength!

Students strived courageously in core events including the Team Bowl, Collaborative Writing, and Team Debate. With solid interdisciplinary knowledge and tacit teamwork, they claimed 8 trophies, 83 gold medals, and 41 silver medals (with the number of gold medals accounting for nearly one-third of the total gold medals in the regional round). Among these achievements, the school successfully secured the Team Debate Championship, and WUIS students occupied three of the top four positions in the Individual Debate Championship, fully demonstrating their critical thinking prowess.

ehind this honor lies the all-round support of the school. Teachers formed a professional guidance team to provide interdisciplinary knowledge tutoring and multiple mock competitions, targeting the improvement of students’ competitive abilities and teamwork awareness. It also embodies the students’ intensive efforts over one and a half months, as well as the silent guardianship and full cooperation of parents.

The excellent performance in this regional round has earned the students a ticket to the Shanghai Global Round. This is not only a vivid practice of the school’s educational philosophy of “Integrating Chinese and Western Cultures, Promoting Harmonious Development” but also builds a broader international exchange platform for the students. We look forward to their continued brilliance in the Shanghai Global Round as they steadily progress towards the Yale Tournament of Champions and shine more brightly on the world stage!
