On Thursday, 23 October 2025, the SUIS Qingpu High School Creative Arts Department presented its semester Music Gala in the Qinglong Theatre. The evening was filled with outstanding performances, inspiring creativity and the shared joy of music.
From the opening act to the final song, the concert celebrated the wide range of musical talents in our school. Students performed with confidence and artistry, presenting a programme that included classical piano, cello, guzheng, drama, pop vocals and full band music.
The audience enjoyed a wonderful variety of performances. Coco Zhu 庭葶 sang and played the guzheng in a heartfelt performance, while Carol Shen 尔萱 delivered a moving interpretation of Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E Minor, accompanied by Mr Feigl. Pianist Andrea Yin 乐恬 performed works by Beethoven and Debussy with elegance and precision.
Powerful vocal performances by Hanson Weng 翁梓瀚, Melody Zhang 子欣 and Lisa Hou 沐言 showcased both versatility and emotion. The final performance by Lisa, singing “Focus”, brought the evening to a thrilling close.
Throughout the evening, the audience responded with warm applause and enthusiasm. Every performer contributed to a memorable celebration of creativity, skill and passion.
The Creative Arts Department extends sincere thanks to all students, parents and teachers who made the Music Gala a success.
