[Wuxi] 【Primary】Virtue Assembly

Communication is a bridge for understanding, a cornerstone of cooperation, and a tool for solving problems. In daily life, it helps us understand others, build trust, and solve problems better.On October 30th, all teachers and students from Primary gathered at the Grand Theatre to discuss the theme of October – Communicators.

The students of P3C gave a wonderful performance. With their vivid language and amazing performance, they demonstrated the charm of communication and won the applause of the teachers and students present.

Mr. Thomas took the stage to share the “Book Jam” activity. He detailed the activity’s design concept and participation methods, encouraging students to exchange ideas and convey viewpoints through books, allowing “communication” to extend through reading.

Backbone of Great Nation

At this assembly, we got to know another role model of virtue. As a professional proficient in both “natural sign language” and “Mandarin sign language”, Tang Shuai accurately eliminates communication barriers for the deaf and mute group, and safeguards their rights and interests through his actions.His story made all teachers and students present deeply realize that effective communication can break “silent barriers”, bring fairness and justice to every corner, and also inject profound connotations into the virtue theme of “Being Good at Communication”.

The heads of the student council gave feedback on the important aspects from this month. They praised the students for their good behavior, and gave expectations and suggestions on how to improve for next month.

Calmness

A quiet and orderly campus is conducive to focusing on our studies and improving our learning efficiency. The virtue this month is “Calmness”. WUISers worked together to create a quiet and comfortable campus. This month, 25 students of “Calmness in WUIS” and a class of “Calmness in WUIS” were selected.

The third“Civilized Behavior, WUIS Virtues ”Civilization Slogan activity came to a successful end. The activity received positive responses from teachers and students, who used their wisdom and creativity to outline a simple but powerful civil slogan, conveying the power of being civilised. At the assembly, WUIS presented awards to the creators who performed well in the activity, witnessed their moment of glory together, and inspired more students to practice civility, so that WUIS could blossom into a more gorgeous flower of civilisation.

Reading can be like stargazing, illuminating the direction of children’s learning journey.When you listen to a story, you can go on a wonderful journey. In the Warm Night Reading activity, the readers with the best messages received special prizes. These awards not only recognise their passion for reading and creative talents, but also aim to inspire more students to actively participate in reading, creating and thinking.

The 1st WUIS Chinese Character Market

At the 1st WUIS Chinese Character Market 2025, Grades 4-6 students acted as “cultural stall keepers”. They added vitality to the event with creativity—designing stalls, combining Chinese character culture with fun activities like riddle games and handicrafts. This made the market full of cultural charm and youth energy, while also showing the students’ practical and innovative skills.

English Reading Activity

The campus English reading activity this semester has achieved great success. It built a lively reading atmosphere and became a unique campus highlight.Students read with enthusiasm, showing their love for English learning. Selected via Myon’s backend data, 25 “Reading Stars” stood out with excellent skills and progress. “Reading Champion Classes” also shone, showing strong teamwork and passion.This activity helped students grow through reading, strengthened class unity, and boosted English learning.
