Looking back on the 2024-2025 academic year, SUIS Gubei always integrated charity into daily campus life and held many charity events. In the last school year, we successfully raised 115,707 yuan for the charity organization BaoEn Temple.

▲ SUIS-GB Love Charity: Tiny Lights, Big Love
The 2025 – 2026 school year has begun. Under the leadership and support of Ms Li, the prefect supervisor, and the prefect team, the Charity team of SUIS Gubei is ready to embark on a new journey. With the participation of Charity Prefects and Community prefects, along with Visual Art Prefects, we are looking forward to making a difference. We will partner with professional public welfare organizations, focus on the theme “Wellness”, and start a meaningful public welfare journey to light hope for more people.

Join Hands with Professional Partners to Build a Charity Bridge
In this academic year’s charity efforts, we won’t go alone. Instead, we will cooperate closely with Climb for Peace (Shanzhijing Public Welfare Fund, affiliated with Shanghai United Foundation) — an organization with rich experience and professional insights in public welfare.

The Shanzhijing Public Welfare Fund was founded by Vivian Han, the first Chinese woman to summit Mount Everest from both sides. It adheres to the concept: “Promote growth and empower society through outdoor sports.” Its “Climb for Peace” project helps participants find peace and raise funds for public welfare. Before, it led a team to climb Kilimanjaro and raised 191,700 yuan for the “Mental Health Paradise” project at a school in Yunnan. It also set up the first such paradise and held mental health activities to support rural children’s mental health.
Focus on Rural Children, Protect Their Physical and Mental Health
With a clear partner, our charity focus this academic year is definite — supporting mental health growth of rural children in Fengping Town, Mangshi, Yunnan.

Surveys find rural left-behind kids are more likely to get depressed or anxious and need professional mental help. But rural teachers lack related knowledge and skills due to limited resources. So we’ll support the “Mental Magic Academy” project with Climb for Peace. It’ll offer courses for rural students (Grades 1-9) and build a system to improve teachers’ mental health education abilities to protect kids’ health.
Diverse Activities for New Public Welfare Experiences
To root the “Wellness” theme in people’s minds and encourage more teachers and students to join charity, we’ve planned 5 featured activities this academic year. Covering interactive games, sports challenges and campus fairs, these activities will integrate public welfare into all aspects of campus life:
Pocky for Peace
“Pocky Day” uses Pocky biscuits for fun activities, like sharing to show friendship or games on “peace and health”. It lets people enjoy public welfare and understand “Peace” in a relaxed mood.

3-point Basketball in One Minute Challenge
Mix sports passion with public welfare. Teachers and students can join the one-minute 3-pointer shooting challenge. They can raise funds by getting sponsorships or meeting shooting goals, contributing to rural kids’ mental health while playing sports.
Winter Bazaar
A warm campus bazaar in winter. People can donate unused stuff or sell handicrafts and food. All money goes to support rural children’s mental health projects in Yunnan. It enriches campus life and spreads love.
Run for Peace (Students)
Encourage students to run outside classrooms. They can run in teams or alone, help public welfare by setting mileage and getting sponsorships. Running helps them exercise and understand the spirit of helping public welfare while growing.

An Egg a Day Hiking Challenge (Teachers & Staff)
Organize staff to take part in the “An Egg a Day Hiking Challenge” of Shanghai United Foundation. They’ll finish a 50-km or a 15-km hiking in teams and raise funds creatively. The funds will support rural children’s health and education, setting a good example for students and spreading the idea of public welfare. The 2025 – 2026 school year starts SUIS Gubei’s new charity journey. We look forward to every teacher and student’s participation — whether joining an activity, donating, or passing on love, every effort drives public welfare development.
Let’s take “Wellness ” as our sail and actions as our oars, and work together for a better public welfare future. May our tiny lights gather into a bright galaxy that illuminates rural children’s hearts!
