To solve class management challenges, bridge the gap between teaching and character education, and protect students’ physical and mental health, WUIS takes the full-staff tutoring system as the core to build a system where “every student has a tutor and every teacher is a tutor”. The pilot in Grade 2 last semester achieved results; this semester, it is promoted school-wide, with full-staff moral education classes becoming a new platform for education.
Centered on four dimensions—”ideological guidance, psychological counseling, academic support, and life guidance”—the system focuses on students’ physical and mental development, moral cultivation, ability building, and knowledge acquisition. Tutors affirm progress, point out shortcomings, and discuss solutions together to support students’ all-round growth.
Abandoning the traditional single homeroom teacher responsibility system, WUIS adopts the “class education team collective responsibility system”: with homeroom teachers as leaders, teams are formed with 2-3 subject teachers, and each student is assigned an exclusive tutor for more focused and precise education.

The “1+N” tutor model is implemented, with each tutor in charge of about 10 students. Grade leaders coordinate grouping to ensure balance in students’ gender, ability, personality, and mentality, guaranteeing educational fairness and targeting.

Every Friday, the 5th period (12:45-13:25) is set as “WUIS Starlight Day” for full-staff moral education classes, with clear links:

Rewards & Discipline: Points are added on ClassDojo based on moral stickers (20 points for a green card)

Review & Growth: Teachers and students review the week, affirming gains and identifying shortcomings.
Communication & Problem-Solving: Tutors communicate one-on-one with students to listen, resolve doubts, check class risks, and coordinate with homeroom teachers if needed.
Daily Support: Students can seek tutor help during breaks, ensuring care throughout daily campus life.
Full-staff moral education classes are a key measure for WUIS to deepen educational reform. In the future, the school will continue optimizing the tutoring system, making teachers guides for students, and enabling WUIS students to grow positively with all-round care.
