On October 10, 16 IB music students visited the ‘Music China’ Expo. They got to explore a wide variety of instruments from different cultures and sheet music from famous publishing houses. There, students also visited different educational workshops, industry forums and listened to live music shows. With the normalization and development of electronic music, students were able to witness and try out various cutting-edge devices, all to their hearts content. For some of the students, seeing how fast music developed in every angle, was indeed one of the highlights of the trip – aside from getting access to music scores normally not easily available in China. The Music Department hopes that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and plans to continue organising this much-awaited trip every year.
