As the solemn national anthem played, teachers and students stood in respectful silence, gazing at the flag with deep admiration for their country. This solemn moment marked the beginning of the ceremony, as the bilingual hosts fluently introduced the theme: “The Communication” .
Communication in Nature:
Silent Language, Interconnected Harmony
In the first segment of the speech, the students from G6 took everyone on a journey into the natural world. Through vivid descriptions , they revealed that communication is not exclusive to humans. In the depths of the ocean, dolphins communicate through complex whistles; bees perform a waggle dance to signal the location of food; and on the vast savannas, elephants use vibrations through the ground to connect with distant herds. Every living being in nature has its own unique way of communicating, forming a harmonious web of life through these silent exchanges.Communication in History:
The Power of Words, The Triumph of Wisdom
In the next segment, the students highlighted how the power of communication has shaped history through iconic Chinese stories. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang used his eloquence and calm reasoning to outwit the ministers of Eastern Wu, successfully forging an alliance between Shu and Wu, setting the stage for resistance against Cao Cao. This story demonstrated that communication is not just about exchanging opinions, but an art of wisdom. Similarly, during the Xi’an Incident, Premier Zhou Enlai’s patient and rational negotiations averted civil war, proving once again that the power of dialogue can resolve crises and pave the way for peace.
Communication in School:
The Bridge of Cooperation and Understanding
The students also showcased the importance of communication within the classroom. In the classroom, asking questions and expressing doubts not only helps us better understand knowledge but also allows teachers to monitor our progress. Similarly, in group collaborations, effective communication helps define roles and strengthens team cohesion. Through these scenes, the students demonstrated how communication resolves misunderstandings, fosters cooperation, and leads to greater academic success.
