Ms. Wang Liqiang, Secretary of the Party Branch of Xiehe Education,announced the appointment of the Wuxi United International School.
Appoint Meng Xiaodong and Lin Xu as co principals of Wuxi United International School.
Appoint Dr. Max Caruso as the co principal of Wuxi United International School.
The three co principals took the stage to express their gratitude and acceptance of the appointment by Xiehe Education. They stated that this appointment fully demonstrates the importance that the Center attaches to the Wuxi campus, ensuring that Wuxi united International School has top experts in both domestic and international education.They will also follow the concept of “East meets West” in Xiehe Education,continue the achievements of ten years of education of WUIS,actively cooperate,work together harmoniously,and work with all employees to promote WUIS’ continued progress and greater glory.

Principal Meng Xiaodong, on behalf of the management team, delivered a keynote speech. He gave a comprehensive sharing from four aspects:
School Management Structure, future strategies,Key Work of the New Semester, and Expectations.
He pointed out that after ten years of development, Wuxi United International School has achieved excellent results. Next, we need to achieve five goals that are both necessary and important:

The kindergarten, primary and junior high school integration department, international high school department, and administration gave on-site reports on the key work of the new academic year.
kindergarten
The kindergarten reviewed the achievements of the 2023-2024 academic year and plans to further strengthen the construction of management systems,Improve the “3 in 1” Cooperatio,improve the detailed rules of home school cooperation,and improve enrollment strategies.Through the synchronous upgrading of kindergarten hardware and curriculum,we will adhere to the children’s position,develop children’s philosophical thinking,and promote various teacher-student work.
Primary&Secondary
The primary and secondary showcased various awards obtained in the past year of overall unit teaching, stage connection, and teaching achievements.Teachers and students also achieved excellent personal results,including various national and international competitions and activities.In the new academic year,the department will further strengthen moral education and home school work,closely focus on curriculum and teaching,do a good job in teacher professional development,and help students achieve comprehensive academic and ability development.
International High School
The International High School presented the excellent university admission results achieved by the 2024 IBDP graduates,as well as the various international competitions and community activities in which the students participated. The plan is to focus on student development, respect individuality, and improve grades.Continue to encourage and support student organizations to organize activities and use their experiences to develop their abilities.At the same time,it is announced to launch the “Star Plan”,While helping all students grow together,it also provides high-quality competition channels and academic guidance for outstanding students, encouraging them to strive for top world-class universities.
Admin Department
The administrative department has detailed the efforts and achievements made during the 2023-2024 academic year and summer vacation.During the summer vacation, the school not only completed various routine repairs and maintenance, but also renovated several major projects such as outdoor playgrounds, primary and secondary school bathrooms,kindergarten playgrounds,kindergarten farms,and front halls,and added multiple technical defense facilities.In order to meet the further development needs of the school,with the support of the local government,the school has officially launched the construction of a comprehensive building.We believe that through the improvement of hardware and software, it will provide a better foundation for the campus life of teachers and students and the overall development of the school.
Dr. Max Caruso is a renowned scholar with over 30 years of international education and management experience. He has served as principal and participated in the founding work in Australia,Dubai and China,In his speech,he talked about what attracted him to come here to Wuxi united International School.Firstly, Xihe Education, which has over 30 years of experience in international education, has a very good reputation.Secondly,through his understanding,WUIS’ educational philosophy of “East meets West”, emphasizing students’ mental freedom and comprehensive development, has deeply impressed him.After arriving at school, spending only a few days together made him feel that the team here has educational ideals and strength, and that this school truly puts students at the center of learning.He stated that Providing our students the internationalqualifications, language, knowledge and personal attributes required to thriveas a learner, individual and leader in school, world leading internationaluniversities and throughout the rest of their life.He will continue the educational spirit of Xiehe, work together with the co principal, the management team,all the teachers and students to build WUIS into a professional learning community.
Principal Lin Xu focused on the teachers, and she reminds them to take care of themselves. Cultivate Inner Strength: Understand societal changes, but maintain your core values and self-reflection.Cultivate Your Professional Expertise:Each of you has the potential to excel—everyone can be a champion in their own right.Cultivate Your Inner Drive: Balance the pursuit of excellence with sustainable progress.she also hopes that all teachers can find the meaning of happiness,and she showed the four Happiness Hormones like Dopamine,Endorphins,Oxytocin and Serotonin,actully we can Use science to enhance happiness,for example listen to your favorite music to release dopamine，do regular exercise to release endorphins，be with friends can release oxytocin and simply bask in the sunshine can release serotonin,happiness is particularly important for teachers because she believes that only happy teachers can lead happy students.
The school awards six employees who have worked diligently and wholeheartedly at Wuxi United International School for 10 years since its establishment in 2013. We believe that with the continuous development of WUIS,more and more 10-year and 20-year employees will take the stage to receive honors.
In the afternoon, each department organized a variety of team building activities to help new employees familiarize themselves with and integrate as soon as possible, and also to motivate all teachers for the new semester.
