And just like that, another academic year comes to an end. This year at the Grizzlies’ home, here at SUIS Gubei, was fantastic, filled with many victories and memorable moments that will stay in our students’ hearts for a long time. From Basketball to Badminton, Football to Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee to Table Tennis, Golf, Judo, and the new Equestrian team, all showed incredible resilience and bravery, representing our school with pride and determination in every challenge they faced along the season. These amazing athletes represented the school not only in Shanghai but beyond, bringing home an impressive collection of trophies to our collection.

The season wrapped up with a glamorous Sports Gala – the Grizzlies Awards ceremony organized by the PE department to celebrate all achievements, recognize the most improved player and most valuable player in every team, and thank all coaches for their effort and time. The event was full of amazing moments, big surprises, and stunning music and dance performances that brightened the party even more.

The evening began with a special welcome to athletes, coaches, and their families greeted by photographers capturing the elegance and excitement of the night. The gala was a black-tie event, adding a touch of sophistication to the celebration of our sporting achievements.

 

Throughout the night, awards were presented to athletes from various sports, each segment highlighting the dedication and hard work of our teams. The most improved player and most valuable player awards were particularly emotional, as coaches took to the stage to share on the season’s individual and collective achievements and challenges. Their words were unanimous reaffirming the spirit of perseverance and camaraderie that defines all our Grizzlies teams.
