The annual Teachers’ Day has come again. In order to celebrate the arrival of the 37th Teachers’ Day and further promote the spirit of volunteerism, we would like to send holiday warmth to all staff.
On September 10, 2021, “Protecting Life” – Shanghai CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator (hereinafter referred to as “QCPR AED”) training program (special session for Teachers’ Day), which was organized by “First Response” Volunteer Service Center and supported by Bayer Healthcare, was held in the Thespis Hall of our school. In recent years, QCPR and AED technology have become more and more widely discussed in the public sphere. This summer, in the Zhengzhou mega-flood, a trainee doctor successfully used QCPR to save many lives in a critical situation; in the European Cup, a player suffered a cardiac arrest, and the team doctors of two countries came on the field at the same time and used AED to successfully save a life within 11 minutes. A pile of news cases, constantly for us to emphasize the importance of QCPR, AED technology in the face of sudden danger. In the social field, public opinion constantly calls for strengthening the promotion and application of QCPR and AED technology to mitigate the injuries caused by accidents in this way. In order to further popularize and train related technologies. On this day, with the support of “First Response” volunteer service center and Bayer HealthCare Co. With the support of the “First Response” volunteer service center and Bayer HealthCare, our staff gathered at the Thespis Hall. Here we had a special training event for Teachers’ Day.
At the event, Director Hu of the Department of Cardiology of Minhang Hospital of Fudan University was invited to the scene. From the reality, Director Hu gave us a deep explanation of the importance of AED and QCPR technology in today’s society. From the public domain, he emphasized for us the necessity of training work of related technologies. Afterwards, professional trainers taught us single and double CPR and AED first aid measures on the spot, and were assessed on the spot, and those who passed could receive certificates to serve more people. In China, one patient collapses every minute due to cardiovascular disease. With such a high incidence of dangerous situations, the two first aid skills, AED and QCPR, are especially important for individuals. Because of this, the school organized such a training especially on Teachers’ Day to add a layer of protection to the teachers’ lives from a health perspective. As a unique gift for Teachers’ Day, it will not only improve the personal quality of our teachers, but also create more benefits for the society in the long-term development, so that AED and QCPR techniques and concepts can “blossom” in Wanyuan Xiehe!
